Arby privacy policy

Updated September 15, 2026. Arby, previously called RandomBay, is a product discovery app for iPhone, iPad and Android made by Stuck at Home, LLC.

What stays on your device

Arby does not require an account. Saved finds and onboarding preferences are stored on your device. The iOS app also stores cached categories and the counters used to request an App Store review. The Android app keeps categories in memory for the current session. Recent browsing history is held for the current app session. The app does not upload your saved-find list or review counters to our servers.

You can remove a saved find using its heart button. Deleting the app removes its local data. iOS device backups are managed by your Apple settings; the Android app disables cloud backup of its local app data.

Product searches and service requests

To find and display listings, Arby sends your search words, selected category, price range, regional marketplace and requested listing identifiers to eBay and our My Random Products service. Listing images are downloaded from eBay. Your device region chooses a marketplace; Arby does not request GPS location.

To reduce repeats, Arby keeps up to 20 recently viewed listing identifiers in memory during the app session and sends them to our service with discovery requests. These identifiers are used to choose a fresh match and are not forwarded to eBay as search filters. They are not uploaded as an analytics event or saved across app launches.

Our service runs on Google Firebase and Google Cloud. Network providers receive information needed to deliver a request, including an IP address, request time and software information. Operational records may include request details and error information used to run the service, diagnose failures and prevent misuse. We do not use those records to build advertising profiles.

Analytics and advertising

The native Arby app has no Google Analytics or advertising SDK and does not request an advertising identifier. Apple and Google Play may provide app usage, device or crash information according to your platform privacy settings. The My Random Products website has a separate website privacy policy; its web analytics do not run in the native app.

eBay links and purchases

Buying or bidding takes place on eBay, outside Arby. We do not receive your payment card details or handle your order. Product links may include our eBay Partner Network campaign identifier and a fixed app label so a qualifying purchase can earn us a commission and be attributed to the app. The app label does not identify you. eBay may use cookies and other information under its own privacy policy when you open a listing.

Sharing is optional and uses the sharing service you select. Review the listing link and destination before sending.
